Hello friends!
I finally got the news I'll be serving in the Philippines as a Teacher of English Language Fluency (once I find out exactly what that means, I'll get back to you). I leave August 19 for orientation in some U.S. city and then it's off to Manila for three months of training! My permanent location is currently a mystery, but I'm hoping for a coastal region near the water (which I assume in a nation of islands is a pretty safe bet!).
So welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy it! Unfortunately I won't have anything to write about until I leave in mid-August, so bookmark this baby and check back then. Hopefully I'll end up in a location with internet access so I can post often, but if not I'll keep track of funny/awkward moments (of which I'm sure there'll be many) and post when I can.
